Certified Video Documentary Specialist (CVDS)
This certification utilizes the Complete Guide to Video Documentary, Second Edition. The training for this certification is limited exclusively to the subject of doing video documentaries. This membership can be obtained for $795.00. To obtain this certification you will need to utilize the home study opportunity and will have the option of also participating in a webinar held monthly, usually on the first Wednesday of each month at no additional cost, or attending the live regional seminar.
You will be required to successfully complete a 100 question exam and must pass with a grade of 80% or better. Should you fail, there will be a $25 retesting fee.
If you are completing your certification by home study, you must also prepare for us two "proof of performance" videos, one of a "mediation video documentary" and the other one an "activity of daily living" video. These videos must be of an actual lawsuit which we recommend you do pro bono working with the law firm of your choice. These videos must be accompanied by a letter from the law firm approving your finished work. These videos must pass with a grade of 80% or better. We start grading with 100 points and deduct five points for every error or omission.
