About the American Guild of Court Videographers

Founded in 1995, the American Guild of Court Videographers is the only legal video specific entity in the world dedicated to the promotion of the legal video profession and the development of expertly trained, thoroughly skilled, and competently certified legal videographers.

The AGCV trains and certifies videographers that are held to the highest standards of professionalism, treat quality as a paramount concern, and preserve the record with complete accuracy. This is accomplished through the painstaking development of standards and protocols, demonstration of the processes and procedures involved in the recording of evidence and testimony by video means, and practical, real-world application and testing of the quality and competency of each videographer.
