2009 Certification Seminar Schedule
The cost of $795.00 includes the three day seminar, first year's dues in the AGCV, and meets all the requirements for "Certification" as a Certified Court Video Specialist (CCVS).
Personal One-on-One three day tutoring is available in Casper, Wyoming anytime we are not conducting these seminars around the country. The fee is $1,795.00, and you must call to make special arrangements. Dial 1-866-688-8441 if you have further questions.
The seminars are designed to meet the needs of two categories of participants in the fields of legal videography:
- For the current professional videographer that is not a member of the AGCV, the seminar provides membership in the Guild, training in all aspects of legal video, and your certification as a "Certified Court Video Specialist" (CCVS). This seminar will provide you with all the necessary information to build a successful legal video career and even how to price your services in your marketing area.
- For the Current "Fellow in Good Standing" of the AGCV, you will have the opportunity to upgrade your certification into the complete professional level as a "Certified Court Video Specialist" (CCVS), have exposure to advanced techniques of courtroom presentations, find new opportunities in the field of legal videography.
This accelerated "crash" course will provide you with all the information that you'll require to enter the profession of legal videography with confidence knowing what is required of you to present video recorded evidence in a court of law.
Note about the 2009 Seminar Schedule
Each month during 2009, the Casper certification seminars will be held at the Ramada Plaza Riverside Hotel, 300 “F” street. You must call the American Guild of Court Videographers at 1-866-688-8441 for your seminar reservation and the Ramada Plaza Riverside Hotel at 307-235-2531 for your special discounted hotel reservations.. They have a courtesy van that will pick you up at the Casper airport. Casper is served by United Airlines through Denver, Delta Airlines through Salt Lake City and Northwest Airlines through Minneapolis.
Please Note:
The CDVS live two day Certification Seminars are always held on the first day of the three day live CCVS Certification Seminars. The CVDS seminars are held on day 2 and 3 of the seminar.
CCVS Seminar Enrollment Application
Please fill out the form on the Membership page or click here to download the application. You will be sent a complete seminar package including the hotel/motel locations featuring special seminar rates. Class size is limited to 25 and reservations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Membership in the AGCV will be automatic with attendance at the seminar. If an attendee passes the final exam with a grade of 80% or better, he or she will be awarded the CCVS (Certified Court Video Specialist) designation at the end of the seminar.
